Explore how Greenbush Logistics leveraged Cetaris to enhance fleet accountability, improve workforce transparency, and exceed company preventative maintenance standards.
About Greenbush Logistics
Greenbush Logistics is a top freight management company with more than 20 years of experience serving 48 states. Greenbush manages a deep, asset-based fleet and works with a large carrier network leading to long-term success in flatbed freight management with a specialization in lumber transport. As an organization, they pride themselves on dependable service and a strong team culture in a family-first company.
Greenbush’s Growing Pains
The growth of Greenbush Logistics has been accompanied by challenges in ensuring accountability and compliance throughout the business.
Despite a commitment to striving for excellence, Matthew Kelly, Director of Maintenance, was aware of the gaps. When it came to PM (preventative maintenance) compliance, the team was reaching only 86% – below the company and Matthew’s standards. More generally, with a growing workforce, Greenbush Logistics struggled to ensure that each team member was accountable to their KPIs and that results were being adequately tracked.
At the same time, Matthew Kelly’s role continued to expand, encompassing not only rolling stock equipment but also plant fixed assets.
Shifting Forward with an Eye on Preventative Maintenance
Greenbush Logistics sought a fleet maintenance software solution to push the business to the next phase of operations. After careful consideration, they selected Cetaris, trusting its proven ability to optimize preventative maintenance for industry leaders while driving enhanced return on investment.
“We were looking for something that would help us grow into the next phase of our business,” Matthew Kelly explained, “And Cetaris was that.”
The company completed its Cetaris implementation in early-2024 and now considers Cetaris a company focus. Matthew Kelly explains that he leverages Cetaris each day to “hold the fleets accountable, to make sure that our PM (preventative maintenance) compliance is up to par, (and) our standards are being met.”
Results and Impact with Cetaris
In just one year, Greenbush Logistics has exceeded the improvements in preventative maintenance compliance they had strived for. “PM compliance started with around 86%, which was not my standard; not our standard as a company. Our standard is 95%,” Matthew Kelly described in April 2025. “I’m happy to announce, today, that last week we celebrated 97%.”
On follow-up a few months later, preventative maintenance compliance had continued growing and reached 99%.
Cetaris has also enabled improved operations from leadership to the labor workforce, with Matthew Kelly citing Cetaris in aiding with visibility and accountability throughout the organization.
The fleet maintenance software has also given more flexibility and capabilities to the Greenbush team. “It gives us the flexibility to work mobile,” Matthew said, citing the benefit to being able to use the tool wherever in the United States he is working, “but also gives us the ability to be transparent with our fleets.”
Reporting has been another valuable tool within Cetaris. Referring to the need to speak in ways that both mechanics the executives understand, Matthew Kelly says that the advanced reporting and PowerBI integration in Cetaris “give me an opportunity to speak multiple languages.”
Looking Ahead
With implementation in the rearview mirror and a year under their belt of using the Cetaris tool daily, Greenbush Logistics has been very impressed. With proven industry expertise and a powerful, long-term roadmap, Greenbush Logistics can look forward to a successful ongoing relationship with their fleet maintenance software provider.
As Matthew Kelly put it: “I think the future for Cetaris is very bright.”
