About the Role

As an Junior/Intermediate .NET Developer on our team, you will learn our existing .NET framework, and design, develop, and test complex business rules, user interfaces, and server side business objects, to increase usability, performance, scalability, and reduce maintenance.

What You Will do #

  • With the team, scrum master, and product owners, refine a backlog of features into stories ensuring that you understand what users are trying to achieve.
  • Work with the application development team to develop and maintain application business objects and user interfaces using our .NET framework and Microsoft web services.
  • Develop and maintain application SQL objects.
  • Perform unit testing, troubleshoot, and debug to support QA efforts.
  • Participate in peer code reviews.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 2-3 years’ experience developing with C# / .NET/WinForms, ideally in an enterprise or business software product environment.
    • 2-3 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server (any version).
    • Strong interest and ability in the development of business solutions.
    • Database development and query writing are areas where you shine.
    • Experience writing unit tests.
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and Windows platforms.
    • Post-secondary education in computer science or equivalent degrees/ diplomas/ certifications.

    Bouns Points #

    • Knowledge of .NET Core and WPF.
    • Knowledge of SSDT.
    • Experience creating Rest APIs.
    • Good grasp of design patterns.
    • Experience working in an agile environment.
    • Knowledge of asset management or transportation maintenance industries - or the curiosity to learn!
    • Open to the idea of pursuing Microsoft certifications such as MCSD App Builder to support your progress as a .NET Developer.

    Compensation #

    This is a permanent full-time position (40 hours/week), with annual salary (based on experience) plus bonus. Flexible work schedule and shared comprehensive health benefits and insurance plan.
