The Second Annual Timmy Awards recognized the top workplaces for tech professionals on September 15th, 2017 in Toronto, Canada. The tech community and an expert panel chose Cetaris, a fleet maintenance and enterprise asset management software provider, from a field of over 165 nominees to join a list of notable North American winners such as Turnstyle, Kanetix, and Questrade Financial. Tech in Motion presented Cetaris with the Timmy Award in front of more than 500 local technology influencers last night.
“Diversity has become a trending topic, not only in tech but overall in the workplace. Tech in Motion is excited to recognize Cetaris as the first winner of our Best Tech Workplace for Diversity award in Toronto,” said Mandy Walker, Director of Marketing at Tech in Motion and Motion Recruitment Partners. “Cetaris promotes collaboration and diverse thinking to celebrate the differences that make up the company and its employees, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to help recognize that.”
"Cetaris is humbled to be found winners amid such formidable companies," said Ric Bedard, President at Cetaris. "We are pleased to take a moment to celebrate our accomplishments and the strides we have made, but we will continue to push for more progress, hiring individuals for their skills, experience, and alignment with our core values; a practice which has always driven our success."
Amid presentations from Cam Smith of Microsoft Canada, Ben Myers from CORP Agency, Jason Field of BrainStation, and Meagan Tanner from Google, the 2017 Toronto’s Timmy Awards recognized winners across four award categories to bring the spotlight onto the diversity and growth of the city, highlighting local tech startups, workplace diversity, management as well as work culture.
